This winter, I find myself reflecting on my own childhood. I also had the wonderful opportunity to attend a Christian school like Twin City
Christian School. It was called Conestoga Christian School (CCS), located in Morgantown, Pennsylvania.
I've always remembered my school years with fond memories. I think back on the wonderful relationships with both students and teachers, directing the elementary play in high
school, having my dad as my school principal, playing soccer and basketball, going out with friends to see local bands play, and experiencing
the nurturing environment of a Christian school community. In my adult life, I continuously would tell people that if I had the chance, I would
repeat my childhood the same way it happened. Little did I know that I would receive that opportunity here at TCCS. Rod Stark, my news anchor character at the school
Christmas program, helped me remember the Christmas programs of old.
In addition, I find myself back in high school when I see the basketball teams getting excited about the beginning of basketball season. I was just talking to one of the Varsity boy's players
who commented on how excited he was about the team unity and spirit that is strong and continuing to grow at the beginning of this season.
As you know, TCCS has an advanced, academic curriculum; and last year our school, as a whole, was testing one to two grades higher than the
national average. What a blessing it is to not only see our students pursuing academic excellence but developing deep and meaningful relationships
that will spur them on to further excellence both academically and spiritually!
